At the AfCFTA Business Forum held recently in Cape Town, South Africa, delegates, members of African states and various stakeholders from the private and public sector representatives across the region deliberated on various issues including: agro-processing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, digital financial inclusion, and digital trade value-chains.
The forum is Africa’s biggest business event and was held under the theme, “Accelerating AfCFTA implementation”. Designed with the aim of accelerating the implementation of the AfCFTA and activating trade and investments, discussions at business forum were centered on a wide range of issues including: agro-processing, automotives, pharmaceuticals, and transportation and logistics. Other areas of focus bordered on digital financial inclusion and digital trade value-chains.
The business Forum provided a unique opportunity for delegates to discuss and share insights on how to leverage AfCFTA and boost intra-Africa trade through featured plenaries, roundtables and fireside chats focused on trade policy and investment opportunities.
