Mary Gichuki is a seasoned telecommunications and financial services policy expert. She has worked in the technology and telecoms space for more than 7 years. She is currently the Advocacy Manager within the Mobile Money Programme at the GSMA.
GSMA is a global organisation unifying the mobile ecosystem to discover, develop and deliver innovation foundational to positive business environments and societal change. Under the Mobile money programme, Mary works with international organisations, and other policymakers to inform and advocate for enabling policy intervention in the digital finance ecosystem.
Mary has been at the forefront of informing the development and formulation of ICT and financial sector policies and regulations, such as digital financial literacy, data protection regulations, taxation, consumer protection policies and guidelines, with the aim of promoting a sustainable ecosystem for technology and telecom companies.
