Africa MICE Summit 2026 Unveils Comprehensive Five-Day Programme Featuring World-Class Training, Continental Summit, and Prestigious Awards Gala in Mombasa, Kenya.

The Africa MICE Summit (AMS), Africa’s premier platform for the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions industry, has announced a landmark five-day programme for its 2026 edition, taking place from 29 September to 2 October 2026 at the Tembo International Convention Centre in Mombasa, Kenya.

Under the theme “Building Africa’s MICE Ecosystem for Trade, Investment & Innovation,” the Summit will deliver an unprecedented combination of professional development, high-level dialogue, business matchmaking, and industry recognition — positioning Mombasa as the epicentre of Africa’s business events conversation.

  1. SITE Incentive Planner Master Class — “Mastering Incentive Travel in Africa”

Duration: 2 Days (29–30 September 2026) Delivered in partnership with: Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE)

This intensive masterclass equips destination professionals, DMCs, hotels, and event planners with the tools to design world-class incentive travel experiences and position Africa as a premium incentive destination. Participants will gain practical skills across eight modules covering programme design, destination packaging, cross-cultural planning, budgeting, storytelling, site inspections, RFP response, and creating award-winning programmes.

  1. ICCA Workshop — “Bidding for International Events: Enhancing Competitiveness for Global Convenings”

Duration: 1 Day (30 September) Delivered in partnership with: International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA)

This one-day intensive workshop provides convention bureaux, venues, tourism boards, and PCOs with the strategies and intelligence needed to win international association congresses and conventions for African destinations. Participants will work with ICCA data, develop bid strategies, and learn to build effective host committees.

  1. The Future Leader Innovation Forum 2026 – 30th September 2026

This session is designed for Startups, young entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders shaping the next generation of Africa’s MICE industry.

THE AFRICA MICE AWARDS GALA (2 October 2026 — Evening)

The Summit culminates in the prestigious Africa MICE Awards, a red-carpet celebration recognising excellence, innovation, and leadership across Africa’s business events industry. Categories span destinations, venues, events, sustainability, innovation, and individual leadership — honouring those who are raising the bar for Africa on the global stage.
